Measurement of Japanese Indoor Power-line Channel

چکیده

The impedance characteristics of household-appliances and power-line channels in the Japanese environment are measured in the high-frequency band, i.e., from 70to 35MHz. The transfer function of the channels is also measured and these results are shown. The powerline channel can be treated as a distributed constant circuit at the high frequency band. In this paper, the distributed constants of a VVF cable with two wires, which is widely used for the indoor power-line in Japan, are obtained by measuring the relative dielectric constant (E,) and the dielectric loss-tangent (or dissipation-factor, tan 6).
